Oroma-Etiti monarch loses wife
THE second oldest traditional ruler in Anambra State and former chairman, Anambra West Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Nwaezekwe Okeke, Igwe Ukwu of Oroma Etiti Anam has lost his wife, Her Majesty Iyom Theresa Eze-Okeke.
According to a press statement from Oroma Etiti palace, released by the monarch’s spokeperson and deputy crown prince of the palace; Prince Eze Chianumba, “we regret to announce the passing away of our pelican queen whose death came as a shock to us and the entire Oroma Etiti community, friends, relatives and well wishers who in one way or the other, associated with the royal queen.
Briefing newsmen in Awka, the state capital, the deputy crown Prince expressed sadness over the demise of the late queen, saying, “her death is a big loss not only to our father, His Royal Highness, Eze Nwaezekwe Okeke but also to the entire people of Anam”.
According to the deputy crown prince, the queen died after survival of nine- year of partial stroke.
Until her death, Her Majesty, Iyom Theresa Eze-Okeke was survived by Prince Eze Chianumba, S.A to Anambra State Governor, eight other children and grand children.
Her funeral arrangements will be announced later.
