Anambra Airport… Obiano’s masterstroke – Nawgu monarch

TRADITIONAL ruler of Nawgu, Sir George Okaa- Onwuogu has described the ongoing international cargo airport project at Umueri as one the best conceived projects by any administration in the Southeast Geo- Political Zone.

  Igwe Okaa- Onwuogu, who gave the indication while speaking to the press at the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Conference Centre, Awka, conveyed his amazement on the project which has captured the admiration of politicians in the opposition.

  According to him, even the federal government and those in authority are full of praises for the project which will provide thousands of direct and indirect jobs to Nigerians when completed.

  The royal father further eulogised the ongoing International Conference Centre, Awka, the ongoing sports stadium, also located in Awka ,and other projects which will serve as enduring legacies when he leaves office.

  Igwe Okaa- Onwuogu further acknowledged the governor’s security efforts and expects that the citizenry should be part of the security architecture to assist the law enforcement agents in carrying out their work.

  He used the opportunity of the Easter period to call for peace and understanding among men to move the state and the nation to the next level.

  The royal father further used the forum to announce the marriage which will take place between his son, Prince Kenechukwu Vitalis and his wife to be, Mary Frances Eberechukwu Ilione of Ogboro-Isiala Village in Ihiala town, slated for April  7, at  St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, starting from 10am .

  According to his notice, the chief celebrant during the wedding ceremony will be the Archbishop of. Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Reverend Valerian M.Okeke.

  Other dignitaries such as the members of the clergy, top government functionaries, traditional rulers ,knights of the church and their ladies and other well meaning citizens of the state are expected to grace the occasion.
