ASSOCIATION of Digital Media Core Advocates ( ADMCA) has announced that the Anambra Independent Media Summit for the year is slated to hold on April 5, 2021, at Marble Arch Conference Hall, Okpuno, Awka, with theme, “‘The Role of Social Media in Anambra 2021 Election’.
Disclosing this in a press briefing at Cosmila Hotel, in Awka, to discuss the agenda for the forthcoming media summit, president of the association, Dr. Harris Chuma reiterated that ADMCA is a distinguished assembly of media personalities across all formats and platforms that are at the vanguard of responsible use of digital media in the dissemination of information, in recognition of the fact that the role of information dissemination is a civic duty.
ADMCA since its establishment has not only embarked on organising seminars, summits and conferences where professionals gather to discuss digital media trends and challenges but also is the convener of Anambra Media Excellence Awards, (AMEA) an annual event where practitioners are honoured and recognised for responsible and worthy practice.
Dr. Chuma while expressing commitment and unflinching efforts of the association towards achieving its goals against all odds, called on the support of relevant stakeholders in the society to continue the worthy cause in view of the far-reaching influence the media has in shaping opinions and sensitising the people at large and also disclosed that the upcoming event will have in attendance speakers and panelists like Prof Alex- Amata from Delta State University, Dr James Abah from University of Nigeria Nsukka, Amb. Dr Ramas Okoye Akajiofor Ndigbo ,among others.
