A CERTIFICATE of participation has been presented to Mr. Fortune Anagor of Mmiata Anam in Anambra West Local Government Area, Anambra State, for participating in the recently concluded national online video contest tagged, “NOA for a Better Nigeria Video Contest 2020”, organised by the headquarters of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Abuja, to encourage citizens to actively and freely participate in progressive national conversations by sharing one-minute patriotic video message on social media.
Presenting the certificate to Anagor in the agency’s state directorate, Awka, Anambra State, the State Director, Charles Nwoji, said that Anagor was among the 14 contesters drawn across the states of the federation that came first in the competition and urged him to always exhibit the good qualities that made him to participate in the contest, arguing that what matters most in the event was the intrinsic value Anagor demonstrated during the competition, but not the package presented to him by NOA.
Nwoji, who described Anagor as a national champion as well as worthy ambassador of Anambra State in particular and Nigeria’s youths in general, advised him to work towards encouraging Nigerians via his network to act, live and speak out for a better Nigeria, promising that the agency would not hesitate to invite Anagor to its youth programmes as one of Anambra youth ambassadors.
Expressing appreciation to the leadership of NOA, for giving him the opportunity to participate in the contest, the NOA for a Better Nigeria Video Contest champion, Anagor, said, in the contest, he saw Nigeria’s leaders as heroes, but regretted that the country is currently passing through vicious pensive conditions.
However, he pointed out that the country could be great again, if only the people could forget their differences and toe the path of unity.
It could be recalled that between September and October last year, NOA in line with its mandate to mobilise, orientate and sensitise the public, launched and held national online video contest, which aims at awakening the consciousness of Nigerians to their responsibilities to the promotion of peace and national unity, citizens’ commitment to their human rights to build a free, just and progressive society among others.
