PRESIDENT of the Province of the Niger (Anglican Communion) and President, Diocese of Awka, Martha Chioma Ibezim has urged women to be cautious of COVID-19 protocols.
Mrs Ibezim said this during the Clergy Wives’ Meeting, with theme, ‘Clergy Wives: A Vessel of Honour Unto God’ was
held at St. Stephens Anglican Church, Agulu.
In her address during the meeting, she urged the wives of the clergy to be cautious of the pandemic and obey its rules.
She emphasised that the virus was spreading faster on a daily basis and becoming more deadly in behavior with the world heading toward another possible lockdown.
“Do not break the COVID-19 rules. There are state and Federal laws that are in force to check the pandemic.
“We must adhere to the rules in our meetings, fellowship and other contacts. We must wear our face masks while moving outside our houses,” stressed Mrs Ibezim.
The president maintained that the sitting position during meetings should be persons per pew, emphasising that social distancing as one of COVID-19 rules should be maintained.
