CRITICAL stakeholders in Ukwulu, in Dunukofia Local Government Area, Anambra State, comprising the community’s council of elders, popularly known as ndichie in Igboland and the members of Ukwulu Town Union, have unanimously expressed unalloyed support and appreciation to Governor Willie Obiano for what they termed as uncommon magnanimity he showed in recalling their traditional ruler and chairman, Anambra Central Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Peter Uyanwa .
President General of Ukwulu Town Union, Chief Walter Okafor, who made this known to newsmen during a press interview in the area, said that such gesture demonstrated by Governor Obiano had further endeared him and his government to the Ukwulu community and entrenched stability, oneness, peace and tranquility in the community and Anambra State at large.
Chief Okafor, however, called on the few individuals in the community who were fanning the embers of discord in the area to sheath their swords and join forces in a holistic development of Ukwulu community.
The President General described Governor Obiano as a true son of Igbo enclave, adding that the governor has through his unrelenting determination, restored permanent peace and watertight security in all communities across the state.
Baring his mind on the achievements of the governor in the state, Chief Okafor identified the on-going Anambra State Cargo Airport at Umueri, in Anambra East LGA, the State International Conference Centre in Awka, the Awka-city Stadium among others as monumental and real milestone.
