IT WAS a unique and colourful event as family, friends and well-wishers gathered together on Sunday, to witness the traditional marriage ceremony between Udala Nonso of Uroabor Village, Uke, and former Miss Oluchukwu Egbaeje of Abidi Village, Umuoji, all in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The event which took place at Isingene Field, Abidi Village Umuoji attracted a lot of dignitories within and outside Nigeria.
The father of the bride, Mr Ambrose Egbueje, while speaking with newsmen, advised the couple to always live upright life and shun any kind of third party in their marriage.
He asked them to always run to God in prayers whenever they encounter any challenge in life, stressing that marriage is not always a bed of roses .
Egbueje maintained that endurance, dedication and love are keys to every happy home.
Speaking at the event, a friend to the couple, Chief Emmanuel Egwuatu, described marriage as an institution of a man and woman, urging the couple to always settle their differences themselves without allowing any intruder in their home.
The groom, in his remarks, said that perseverance , obedience , kindness and love are some of the vital things that distinguishes his wife from any other woman and promised to love, care and always be there for her all the days of their lives
He advised the youth to always pray and seek for God’s direction before entering into any marriage, noting that marriage come with a lot of ups and downs.
The occasion was elevated to another level when Chief Ikem Mazeli entertained the guests with his hit songs.
