MORE ndi Anambra will be covered under the state health policy introduced by the Gov. Willie Obiano-led administration.
Executive Secretary of Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, made this known while interacting with members of Anambra Tipper and Drivers Owners Association who paid him a courtesy call in his office in Awka yesterday.
Receiving the group, Dr. Onyemaechi, described health insurance as one of the major ways of achieving universal health coverage.
According to him, this explains why Gov. Obiano places great premium on covering more people into the policy, particularly vulnerable, less privileged ones who may not have access to quality and efficient health services on their own.
Therefore, Dr. Onyemaechi called on residents not only to make themselves available but also partner the government in its internal revenue drive as a means to ensure that Gov. Obiano’s mission of affording quality healthcare to ndi Anambra under ASHIA is met.
