#EndSARS: See your services as sacrifice –IGP urges police in Anambra

INSPECTOR General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, Tuesday, visited officers and men of the Nigerian Police Force in Anambra State, urging them to continue to carry out their duties diligently and in conformity with the best professional standards, respecting the fundamental rights of all citizens.

  The assessment visit to Anambra State followed the aftermath of #EndSARS protests that resulted in the destruction and looting of government property, including police outposts, with a some policemen reportedly  killed during the violent agitation.

  The IGP, who interacted and commiserated with the command on the losses suffered during the protests, urged the officers and men of the force to see their constitutional responsibilities as a huge sacrifice that demands patience, tenacity and tolerance.

  He also commiserated with families of the serving members of the institution whose relatives died or were injured during the protest, even as he assured that the Nigerian Police Force remains committed to the security of lives and property in the country, and urged his men to remain committed in the discharge of their duties.
