Youth Affairs Commissioner dedicates triplets to God


SAINT Francis Catholic Church,Urunebo, Enugwu Ukwu was filled with great joy on Sunday as the family of Boniface and Prof Theresa Obiekezie Bonny Ogbutor dedicated their set of triplets to God.

  The colourful event  attracted government functionaries, friends and well-wishers of the family across the country.

  The dedication service and one year birthday celebration of the set of triplets, two males and a female, Terence, Albert and Laura Bonny Ogbutor was officiated by the Vice Chancellor, Ekwulobia Diocese, and Revered Father Lawrence Nwankwo.

  Rev Fr Peter Val Uzoezie, Parish Priest, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, said the arrival of the set of triplets had brought immeasurable joy to the family of which they should always magnify God.

  He described dedication as giving back to God what belonged to him for blessing, protection and divine direction which would help them to have foundational growth in the Lord.

  While urging the parents to train the children the way they should grow through their lifestyles, he charged them to remain eternally grateful to God for His abundant blessing unto their family.

  Father of the children, engr Bonny Ogbutor, gave God the glory for the rare gift unto his family.

  Mother of the children and Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Prof Theresa Obiekezie, said she was overwhelmed by large turnout of personalities who came to share the glorious moment with them.

  She added that their joy knew no bound after waiting for six years of marriage, and prayed God to protect the children to enable them grow to take care of them in their old age.

  Some of the dignitaries who spoke with newsmen shortly after the service, include Permanent Secretary, SSG’S Office, Dr Ude Akpe, as well as his Education Ministry counterpart, Mr Linus Nwankwo,who  prayed for God’s continued guidance for the children.
