GENERAL Overseer of the National Holy Ghost Church of Christ International, Her Lordship, Cynthia Adaoma Josephson, has condemned leaders who steal public resources as not having the fear of God and not keeping His commandments.
The bishop stated this during the consecration of Rev. Jude Enemuochukwu as a Bishop at Wonder City Palace Church, Obosi in Idemili South council area.
She noted that position of public trust is always a platform provided by God for people to serve Him and humanity but unfortunately, most people use such God-given privileges to play God and enrich themselves, while punishing the majority.
The bishop strongly condemned such attitude of leaders and many in positions of public trust ,adding that such disposition which is the bane of our nation, offends God, hence, the many problems we have today.
“As people of God, we must fear Him in his Majesty, do the things He wills and receive His blessings and not what we will and want which must remain our bane”.
“Many leaders of today play God without fear and so embezzle and squander public resources at will without regard to public good”.
She charged the newly ordained bishop to be mindful that he was chosen by God to serve Him and not join the league of those who become power drunk when elevated by God.
In his appreciation note, the new bishop Jude Enemuochukwu pledged to serve by Divine Will and mandate of God and to always uphold His teachings for turning of lost souls to God.
