IT was celebration of love as Ikechukwu Ugochukwu and Chinwendu Jacinta (Nee Okafor) exchanged marital vows.
The reception which took place at Marble Ark Hotels, Awka, attracted dignitaries from Anambra and beyond including the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Newspaper and Printing Corporation (ANPC), Sir Chuka Nnabuife, among others.
The couple hail from Uli, in Ihiala Local Government Area.
Speaking to newsmen, the groom, Ikechukwu described his bride as one of a kind woman, a rare gem who is smart and beautiful. According to him, “there is no one I would have gotten married to if not her”
The bride, Chimwendu, who could not hide her joy said, “my husband is a handsome man, a gentleman, a loving partner and a potential great father. I thank God for he is a blessing in my life.” The couple admitted to have fallen in love in Awka, and have been in love for three years.
Father to the bride and former member of the House of Representatives, Onowu Uli, Vitalis Okafor, expressed his joy, saying, “I wish my daughter and her husband well in their new marriage. My son- in- law should know that as a man, he is the head of the family and his wife is his partner not a slave, I pray their marriage yields children that will bring them happiness just as my daughter gave me happiness.
Contributing, the MD/CEO of ANPC, Sir Chuka Nnabuife wished the couple a happy marriage and advised them to make God the pillar of their marriage.
