Anambra lawmaker flags off health centre project in Amichi
MEMBER, representing Nnewi South Constituency 1 in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Sonny Ozobialu has called on the constituents to maintain a healthy living.
Ozobialu stated this while flagging off the construction of Primary Healthcare Centre at Ogbodi, Amichi, in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to Ozobialu who also recently fagged off a school fencing project and construction of classroom block in Osumenyi, the health centre project is one of his campaign promises to the constituents, and will be properly fenced and adequately equipped for optimum functionality when completed in few months time.
While extolling Governor Willie Obiano for releasing money for constituency projects and revolutionalising the health sector, in addition to massive infrastructural development across the state, Ozobialu highlighted some of his achievements as a lawmaker and restated his commitment towards delivering dividends of democracy to his people.
Stating that he will be flagging off projects every Saturday in various parts of his constituency until their six-week recess elapses, he revealed that work will soon commence on the abandoned section of the Ekwulumili – Unubi Road..
Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi South Local, Chieloka Henry Okoye, who performed the foundation laying ceremony of the health centre, commended Ozobialu for his magnanimity, and extolled the Obiano administration for making constituency projects delivery possible in all the constituencies in the state.
Expressing satisfaction with the achievements so far recorded by Ozobialu, Okoye further urged the constituents to keep their hope alive for more dividends of democracy and charged them to continue supporting the state government.
In their separate reactions, the President-General of Amichi Improvement Union, Chief Dan Ugwumba and the leader of Ogbodi, Chief Ezechukwu Jeremiah described Ozobialu as a man of his word, who has never failed in keeping his promises to the constituents.
Present at the occasion were the Deputy Chairman of Nnewi South Local Government Area, Chief Sunday Okafor; the Secretary of the council , Prince Adolphus Umeaniba, among others.
