The maiden edition of a program tagged ‘An Evening of Praise’ organised by Dominion City Church, Enugwu-Agidi was held recently at the church.
The event attracted choristers from The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Living Faith Church, Mountain of Fire and Miracles, Grace of God Church, among other believers and pastors in and around Enugwu-Agidi.
Delivering his homily, the senior pastor of The Dynamic Ministries, Awka, Pastor Ernest Onu, who spoke on the topic, ‘Worship Unto God’, described worship as complete devotion to God where a believer accepts the Lordship of Jesus Christ. He maintained that worshiping God involves purity, service, which helps one to escape from danger as well as showing forth the praises of God.
He further emphasised that worship entails the totality of one’s life and that no believer will go far with God without developing strong attitude of worship. He urged Christians to ensure intimate relationship with God which is obtained by presenting themselves a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable as their reasonable service.
According to the cleric, “the worship of God is not complete without involving our talents as well as substance for expansion of God’s kingdom. Before God brings you to stardom, He will first of all take you through a process. The secret of carrying divine anointing is from the alter of worship. Don’t allow the devil to take you out of God’s service.”
Speaking on career, Resident pastor, Dominion City, Ifite Awka, Pastor Christpower Ezendu-Ezeaguba explained that before a man was born on earth, God has ordained what he will be and nothing has the capability to stop him from reaching the level appointed for him.
He maintained that there are three stages of life; morning, afternoon and night, saying that what you do in the morning determines how your afternoon will be while what you do in your afternoon determines how your night will be.
Pastor Ezeaguba stated that to be a VIP, three things are involved’ vision which is the picture of a preferred future, integrity and personal development, urging the youths to build on integrity and constantly develop themselves, not depending only on the scope of the formal education.
He advised youths to avoid societal vices capable of destroying what God prepared for them.
The host pastor, Charles Olisaemeka, in his opening and closing remarks, appreciated all the pastors and choristers for their performance. He explained that the event came up through God’s inspiration to gather believers in the community to raise a holy cloud of glory to God that will disperse the evil cloud and to attract God’s blessing to Christians.
The Choir Coordinator, Dominion City, Amarachi Anaege, explained that the event was aimed at reaching out to the youths of the community who have different talents and give them opportunity to develop themselves and to draw them closer to God.
While appreciating the guest, Mrs. Anaege noted that the event would be annual and also rotational. She thanked God for giving them the opportunity to be the host.
The event featured life changing praise and worship, drama, talk show, career talk, among others.
