Napoli have secured the signature of highly-rated Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Lille for a club-record fee that could rise to €81.3 million.
Osimhen become the club’s record signing after completing his transfer for an initial €50 million plus add-ons.
The News comes after Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso complained about striking force after his side lost 2-0 defeat to Inter Milan.
The 21 years old Nigeria striker, Osimhen scored 18 goals in 38 appearances for the Ligue 1 side in all competitions last campaign before French football was called off due to Covid-19.
Osimhen finished tournament’s top scorer with 10 goals in the U-17 World Cup in 2015 that he won with Nigeria. Osimhen youth career began in Lagos Nigeria with Ultimate Strikers Academy and joined Wolfsburg at 18.
He spent the 2017/18 campaign
in Germany before moving to Charleroi in Belgium on loan the following year, scoring a magnificent 20 goals in 36 appearances.
