COVID-19: Oyo discharges 1,008 cases



GOVERNOR Seyi Makinde has stated that Oyo State has discharged 1,008 coronavirus patients after receiving their second test results.

  The governor, who also doubled as the Chairman of COVID-19 Taskforce in the state, stated this in a series of tweets on Monday.

  As at Monday morning, 16 confirmed COVID-19 cases received their second negative test results and have been discharged, bringing the total number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 1008.

  “Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for 20 suspected cases came back positive. The cases are from Oluyole (5), Ido (3), Egbeda (3), Ibadan South East (2), Ibadan North (2), Lagelu (2), Ibadan South West (2) and Akinyele (1) Local Government Areas.

  “So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 1726,” the governor tweeted.
