IT WAS a day of joy and jubilation for the parishioners of Saint Simon Anglican Church, Nnobi, in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, when a philanthropist, the Chief Executive Officer of Seaman Group of Companies, Emeka Agbanari handed over an ultra modern edifice he built to the church.
The magnificent synod hall was dedicated in the memory of his late mother, Ma Paulina Agbanari.
The Anglican Bishop on the Niger, Rt Rev Owen Nwokolo, while dedicating the magnificent building, asked Christians to always cultivate in God’s vineyard so as to attract many blessings from God.
He said that the church would continue praying for him and also the soul of his departed mother to whose memory the hall was dedicated.
He charged other well-meaning individuals to always emulate Seaman for they must surely be rewarded by God.
In his remarks, the benefactor, Emeka Agbanari said he was motivated by God to erect a building that will be beneficial to the church.
Chief Agbanari adviced other wealthy people to always contribute to the society especially their place of worship,
He said that he derived joy whenever people benefit from him which is the major reason he likes putting smiles on the faces of people around him, promising to be an advocate of giving until his last day on earth.
Some of the parishioners, Mr Afam Anolue and Mrs Gift Ozodi described the benefactor as God’s gift to the parish and Nnobi community, praying God to replenish his pocket and always grant his heart’s desires
