GOVERNOR Simon Lalong of Plateau State has expressed concerns on the rising number of coronavirus cases in the state.

  Disclosing this yesterday, the government through the state Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dan Manjang, in a statement, pointed out that failure to comply with the COVID-19 safety measures had resulted in an increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state to 180.

  The government urged citizens to take personal responsibility for their health and the health of others

Reliable source says, the government may be coming out with more stringent measures to enforce compliance with the rules.

  “We will now enforce all safety measures and prosecute defaulters.” Part of the statement reads.

  According to the commissioner, government had noticed that residents of the state were disregarding physical distancing rules and refusing to wear face masks.

  He warned people not to play games with their lives by disregarding safety rules on COVID-19; adding that COVID-19 is real and still without a cure.
