“In my 41 years of practice at Onitsha, this is the first time the position of the chairman was contested unopposed. As soon as Onyechi Ononye who has been a national officer declared interest, nobody wanted to contest with him. He is a real ‘Bar man’.
“Also, as much as the bar will not put hands in gloves to fight the government, they should not shy away from always pointing out the truth to the government in power”, said Ibegbu.
According to Obi-Okafor, “the new executive should bring the members of the branch under one umbrella, mobilise everyone to be focused and move the bar to greater heights.
Moreover, Ozo Erinne who noted that his administration achieved a lot including giving the Onitsha Center a face lift, advised the new exco to take a clue from his legacies and do better.
In their separate speeches the trio of Mrs Wilcox-Iwuchukwu-VC, Francis Ibechukwu-Secretary and Noel Udeoji-Asst Sec. after thanking the electorates, assured that the new administration will not disappoint as regards their responsibilities.

“We shall have a digital secretariat to enable the premier bar become the primus entaparis among others in the federation. They have seen my good works and gave me more work”, said Ibechukwu.
“According to Udeoji” We shall upgrade the Onitsha bar to be 21st century ICT compliant. So that any information you want about any member like in a case of bar conferencing can be reached from the comfort of your house with the press of a button”.
