Manchester United reportedly are preparing for a transfer battle against a few top-flight European clubs including Liverpool FC and Real Madrid over Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) star Adama Traore.
The Spanish striker has been in a great form this season with six goals and 12 assists in as many as 43 appearances for Wolves, across competitions, before the 2019-20 campaign was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ahead of 2018-19 season, Traore was signed by Wolves on a five-year-contract on an undisclosed fee. When the upcoming summer transfer window opens for the soccer clubs, Wolves are expecting to receive offers for Traore from various top clubs including Liverpool and Man Utd and Manchester City and the club owners. Fosun has reportedly labeled the player with a transfer fee of $163 million.
While Man City and Liverpool’s interest in the 24-year-old forward was also known, the Red Devils are the latest club to express interest in signing him this summer. Clubs from other leagues are also looking to rope in Traore ahead of the next season.
According to a report by French outlet Le 10 Sport, the other clubs that are interested in signing Traore are Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich, and the player’s former club, FC Barcelona along with their La Liga rivals, Real Madrid.
