ALL faces beamed with blessedness and peace at the Gospel of Grace and Life Church, Umuzocha, Awka South LGA, Anambra State, as a staffer of Logos Theological International Seminary and School of Missions, Awka, Rev’d Nsonwu Christian Nebolisa sealed the nuptial vows of matrimonial union with his heartthrob, Faith Angel Okwukwe.
Delivering his sermon, the officiating Minister and Provost, Logos Theological International Seminary and School of Missions Awka, Rev. Pastor Basil Igbomma, called on all Christians to always be obedient to the biblical order of God for marriage, even as we await Christ’s second coming.
He explained that marriage is very sweet yet the present age keep recording a spike in the number of divorce. And more worrisome is the fact that Christians, pastors inclusive are also caught in the trend. According to him, ”most marriages turn to hell because we do not obey its rules as prescribed by God.
He further reminded the couple that marriage is not devoid of challenges, adding that the challenges would be overcome with prayers and good understanding of each other.
Bestowing his fatherly blessing on the couple, the bride’s brother-in-law and Rtd Naval Officer, Lieutenant Azubuike Anthony Anyaji felicitated with the couple for accomplishing a great responsibility in the life of every foresighted man and woman not aspiring to be a celibate, adding that the couple will make an excellent marriage.
“Okwukwe is very good, and resourceful. She is enterprising, homely and a wife material. She is somebody the husband can nurture, mold and package the way he wants her to be. In fact, she is flexible, foresighted, educationally-inclined and with a high sense of decency. Nebolisa can bend her to any style he wants.” He said.
In his own contribution, the Registrar, Theological International Seminary and School of Missions Awka, Rev. Matthew Faithful Omenyi, expressed gratitude to God on behalf of the young and enterprising couple, describing the groom as a committed Christian and pastor living a sacrificial life, and prayed God to remember all the sacrifices that Olisa has put in His service and bless his new home, adding that his marriage is going to be that which others will look at and know how a Christian family ought to be, both in production, recreation, and in every side.
Expressing her own feeling, the bride’s elder sister, Mrs Anthony Ngozi Patricia congratulated the new couple, wishing them fruitfulness. She prayed God to bless them with four children and every good thing marriage attracts.
Mrs Anthony also urged them to avoid third party in their marriage, especially in times of dispute, and solve their challenges with prayers, while calling on her younger sister to remain the truthful, resourceful and straight-forward home-builder she is.
She appealed to all married women to handle their marital challenges with wisdom and maturity, remain submissive to their husbands and to avoid whatsoever that will incur the wrath of God on them.
In his vote of thanks, the chief celebrant expressed gratitude to all who made the day eventful especially the staff of Logos Theological International Seminary and School of Missions Awka.
