COVID 19: Courtious, Immobile participates in F1’s virtual Chinese GP
AS THE pandemic of the coronavirus continues to spread and cause chaos globally which has led to the suspension of sport activities without certainty of resumption, China has taken the initiative to come up with a virtual formular GP.
An online game racing activities which has witnessed different sport men and women participate. Likes of Courtouis, ciro Immobile have participated, both football stars are not new to the world of virtual GP.
However, Charles Leclerc, who only started playing the video game at the beginning of this month, claimed his second straight Formula One Virtual Grand Prix on the Shanghai track on Sunday.
The Ferrari driver started the Chinese GP in pole position and finished ahead of Red Bull’s Alex Albon and Zhou Guanyu, who races in Formula 2.
The actual Chinese GP, originally scheduled for April 19, was postponed in February.
The F1 world championship has yet to get underway this season due to the spread of the coronavirus. Nine of the scheduled 22 races have either been cancelled or postponed.
Courtois and Immobile were among the racers who lost to Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finish the last edition, schedule for the nest grand prix are yet to be announced.
