… C’River donate 50,000 masks each to A’Ibom, Benue, Ebonyi others
LAGOS and Kano States have separately ordered face masks from Cross River State to help them contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
While Lagos State ordered for one million units of face masks, Kano State booked ordered for 100,000.
Governor of Cross River State, Ben Iyade, disclosed this yesterday while inspecting Cross River Garment Factory in Calabar.
According to him, their orders were received over the weekend.
But Ayade promised that the factory is capable of supplying face masks of global standard to all states of the country that may wish to patronise Cross River State.
Noting that use of facemasks is one of the best ways to prevent the coronavirus, Gov. Ayade added that the facemasks of different clothes is not just for fashion and aesthetics but also to promote and raise awareness.
The governor also used the forum to pledge 50,000 masks donation to neighboring states comprising of Akwa Ibom, Benue and Ebonyi as well as supporting Lagos State with 100, 000 units and Kano state with 50, 000 units.
