FOLLOWING the sit at home order by the Anambra State Government to contain the rapid spread of Covid-19 pandemic within the state, Bishops Paulinus Ezeokafor& Peter Okpaleke of the Catholic Dioceses of Awka and Ekwulobia respectively, Friday, donated over 1000 bags of 50kg rice to the faithful in the two dioceses.
Episcopal vicars of all the regions in the two dioceses were present at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, to collect the bags for their region.
This is the first phase of the efforts of the bishops of the two dioceses to help in the current hardship created by the lockdown due to coronavirus.
