Amazon develops mode of coronavirus tests for workers

E-commerce giant Amazon has begun developing its own novel coronavirus test for workers.

  This was made known through a Cable News Network report which says it is part of an effort to get pandemic-battered economy moving again.

CNN CEO, Jeff Bezos has put together a team of Amazon employees from different units to come up with new tools for COVID-19 testing.

In his annual letter to shareholders, Bezos emphasised the need for regular testing in every industry and for more testing capacity; adding that the company will start testing small numbers of employees soon.

It will be recalled that Amazon has faced criticism over the company’s poor response to the pandemic fight, coupled with sacking of its outspoken critics.

Bezos has however dismissed any such insinuation, insisting that he’s focused on the safety of Amazon’s workforce,

He said the company has made 150 “significant process changes, including temperature checks and offering personal protection equipment to employees.
