PRESIDENT of South East Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (SECCIMA), Humphrey Ngonadi has expressed the readiness of the chamber to help in the development of medium and small scale industries in the zone.
Mr. Ngonadi who made the promise during his address presentation on the special day of SECCIMA during the just concluded 31st international trade of Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) stated that the South East has the potentials to lead other zones in the economic and socio development of the country stated also that the South East Chamber of Commerce will under the present leadership will play a leading role in eh quest to develop the zone in particular and the country at large..
He solicited for the supports of the governments at all levels in the zone to make the dream a reality.
The Anambra State born successful businessman used the opportunity to commend the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, (ECCIMA) for successfully organizing the Fair inspite of the obvious and undaunting odds.
He also commended the Enugu State Government for providing the conducive atmosphere that enabled the event to succeed.
Earlier in his welcome remark, president of ECCIMA, Emeka Nwandu commended SECCIMA for its role in the economic development of the South East. Sir Nwandu promised that ECCIMA will always collaborate and support SECCIMA in all its programmes and policies.
Meanwhile the Director General of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) Henry Awuregu has assured the people of eh South East that the zone will produce the next president of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).
According to Awuregu, Ide J. C. Udeagbala, the current first deputy President of NACCIMA has been positioned to take over the leadership of the national body at the expiration of the tenure of the incumbent president Ifajiya Saratu Iya Aliyu.
He expressed confidence on the ability of Ide Udeagbala to take NACCIMA to the next level
