IT was a moment of grief and joy at the weekend as the remains of the late Senior Apostle Raphael Anayochukwu Onyeagba (Akata Njo Nwata), founder Holy Sabbath of Christ the King Mission, now Community of Hashem Worldwide, was laid to rest in Umueze Awovu Village, Enugwu- Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Onyeagba was known as a fervent Christian, a good sabbatarian, highly charitable, who would rather stay hungry to ensure that strangers, visitors and other people around him had something to eat. He was a founding member of a foremost political orgnisation known as Zikkist Vanguard of the then NCNC, leader of the youth wing Enugwu-Ukwu and others. He was born on October 27, 1938 to the Christian family of Mr and Mrs Davidson Onyeagba.
His training for evangelism and missionary work took him beyond the shores of Nigeria.
In 1970, he married the late Mrs Mabel Ugonwa Onyeagba (new Okoye) of Akama Osili Village, Enugwu-Ukwu and the union was blessed with five children.
His son, Prince in-charge of Remnant Mission International, Price Chukwunonso Abraham Onyeagba described him as the first good man he has ever loved.”It is because of the man he is and the example he set that I am able to love men with deep passion and appreciation.”
