Jassy coaching present intensive training on shoe making

INTENSIVE Training on shoe making kicked off yesterday  in Awka, Anambra State, to train participants on making female, men shoes, slippers, belts, amongst others in the next three months.

   Speaking during the opening ceremony of the programme which took place at Jassy Trainng Center, 30c Onitsha Enugu Express Way, Agu Awka, the Commissioner, Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Afam Mbanefo, who was ably represented by Ifeanyi Aniagor said, “It is no longer news that governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano strongly believes in empowering youths. That is why Obiano’s administration is made up of five per cent of youths; he wants people to acquire skills to enable them train others.

  In his remarks, the Representative, Aguata 1 Constituency, Anambra House of Assembly, Carter Dike Umeh, said, “ every successful man has a story. I will give my full support to the programme by sponsoring  10 people from each ward of all the nine wards that make up my constituency. I know it is not going to be easy to get youths to participate in the training but I will sponsor 10 interested participants from each ward in my constituency to learn the skill”.

  Contributing, the special advicer to the governor on environment, Chido Obidiegwu, said: “The  problem of youths of  today is that they believe in getting wealth without work. If people learn skill, they will be useful to themselves.

  Obidiegwu therefore called on  Umeh to serve as chief marketing officer of the programme and urged the participants to concentrate and learn more so that they will be able to train others on graduation.

  Expressing his happiness, the Director, Jassy Coaching Services, Obinna Nwakpadolu, said, “ I am overwhelmed. At the training, a few days to the event, I became discouraged and decided to discontinue with the programme, but after my interactions with Chido Obidiegwu and my brother, Mr Nwakpadolu, I picked up courage and continued. Almost all the people that participated were attracted by Obidiegwu and my brother”.

  Nwakpadolu said, “Jassy coaching services (JACS) got started in 2017, it is a skill acquisition and leadership training company that offers coaching services for a wide variety of vocations. We are committed to empowering people and adding value to their lives, by giving adequate vocational, entrepreneurial, leadership training to people in other to achieve an economically viable society.

  One of the participants from Nibo, Awka South LGA, Ikechukwu Nweke, thanked the sponsors of the programme and pleaded with the state government to support the programme to move forward’.
