Workers of Anambra State Housing Development Corporation, Tuesday, celebrated the first anniversary of their Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Willie Okafor.
In his speech, the MD and CEO, Okafor said, ” I don’t know I have touched lives, I still want to do more life, I have my focus directed to the cross of Calvary. Thank you for supporting me”.
He said that he had his attention fixed somewhere, with vision and focus, adding that the organisation has started the journey and will reach to the end.
In her address, Deputy Director of ASHDC, Ngozi Chilokwu, said the MD\CEO of ASHDC had exhibited the ability to make tangible contribution to achieving the desired strategic plan of securing unencumbered parcels of land for the corporation.
She stated that Okafor has displayed a distinct leadership role by actualising 100% peaceful settlement of compensation issues hanging on the Corporation over the years with landowners of Enugwu- Agidi in respect of Liberation Estate, Awka, Isuaniocha, in respect of Green Valley Estate. She added that Okafor has successfully settled the boundary issues with the Army.
Also speaking, Chairman House Committee on Housing, Chief Lawrence Ezeudu commended Okafor for his effort and contribution to the Corporation, adding that House of Assembly will partner ASHDC and support them for the interest of the state.
Estate valuer, Anthony Nwofor appreciated the Md’s efforts and achievement in the corporation.
