In March, Morocco Maduka celebrates 60 years on stage

MEMORABLE activities are lined up for the celebration of Chief (Dr) Emeka Morocco Maduka’s 60 years on the stage in Anambra State. The event being packaged by his music fans around the world is an indication that the Ukwulu, Anambra State born Ekpili music exponent and  living king of highlife music has seriously contributed to the boom of world music during his many years of active performance in the art.

   His fans led by London-based music promoter, Chief Godwin Isebor has shown the group’s readiness to celebrate Chief Morocco’s effort in Anambra State capital, Awka and Onitsha, where Nigeria’s best in music are expected to thrill lovers of good music during the historic event.

  Speaking to journalists on the preparedness of the “Morocco Maduka 60 Years on Stage Ceremony 2020,” the fan club president, Chief Godwin Isebor hinted that the on-coming event scheduled to hold from the 6th of March to 7th March, 2020, is expected to kick off with fanfare, road shows in Awka and Onitsha, Anmbra State.

  The Europe based International Music Promoter further said that come 6th March, there will be work exhibition followed by the festival colloquium with music historians, journalists and experts speaking on a topic ‘Uniqness Of Ekpili Music Genre. How Chief Morocco Maduka Exported It To USA, Europe, Asia And The World”.

  He said that Saturday,  March 7, will be the mother of all shows at Shoprite Mall, Onitsha, Anambra State.

  Chief Isebor pointed out that prominent Nigerian Music Stars and artistes will perform at the event and many notable politicians, business people, friends of Morocco across Europe, Asia, the United States of America, and Africa will be there  with top government  officials.
