IT WAS a joyful moment at St. Mulumba’s Catholic Church, New Heaven, Enugu, as Vivian Kenechukwu Ekemezie, daughter of Dr Dennis Ekemezie work down the aisles to seal the nuptial vows of matrimonial union with her heartthrob, Gerald Ebuka Amakaeze.
The wedding reception held at Sylvia Hotels and Suites, Independence Layout, Enugu, attracted many dignitaries such as the Emeritus Grand President, Awka Grand Commander, Brigadier Gen. Godfrey Muotolu, Senator Victor Umeh, represented by his wife, Lady Prisca Umeh, CP-John Bassy Abang, Commissioner Of Police Anambra State, represented by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, the national president of the Nigerian Institute Of Public Relations (NIPR), Mallam Sirajo Murktar, represented By Ike Neliaku, the patriarch of Ekemezie Dynasty In Adazi Nnukwu, Sir Willie Ekemezie, among others.
While delivering the sermon, Rev. Father Paul Uche encouraged the couple to first seek the will of God and advised that their marriage should involve tolerance, understanding and sincerity.
Rev. Uche Paul prayed that the couple will remain together in their love and see their children’s children.
The chairman of the occasion, Mr Anthony Ukaegbu, in his opening remarks, welcomed everybody that traveled from far and wide and thanked the father of the bride, Dr. Dennis Ekemezie for having handed over his daughter, Vivian to marry Mr Gerald Amakaeze.
He noted that there is no formula in marriage and advised the couple to continue living with love and understanding which will unite them at all times.
The parents of the bride, Dr. Dennis Ekemezie and Lady Ngozy Ekemezie expressed their gratitude to God for granting their daughter, Vivian, a fruitful solemnisation of the Holy Matrimony and appreciated the presence of everyone who came to witness the wedding.
Uncle to the bride, Doctor Willie Ekemezie prayed that the couple will have a successful marriage, and that God will grant them the basic knowledge they need to live together as husband and wife.
The groom, Mr Gerald EbukaAmakaeze said that he felt so glad having Vivian as his wife, noting that it has been a long awaited day in his life.
“I’m so happy today to have Vivian Kenechukwu as my wife because it’s like a mile stone achieved. It has been in the pipe line and to God be the glory, we are able to achieve our target today. I pray that we will keep living in unity, love and understanding,” he said.
