Land reforms: Anambra to introduce geographic infoTrmation
IN CONTINUATION of its commitment to ease of doing business as a way of attracting investors, Anambra State is prioritising land reforms to enhance access to land information and allocation.
Anambra State Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Rural Development, Bonaventure Enemali, stated this at an event to sign an automated Geographic Information System (GIS) agreement with Teqbridge Group.
Promising that the policy will eliminate cases of land theft, land scrapping, superimposition and multiple land allocation, among other setbacks to land acquisition, Enemali added that reforms will serve ndi Anambra and potential investors optimally, hinting that Gov. Willie Obiano will commission the project in an online platform before 2019 runs out.
The signing ceremony took place at Ministry of Lands Headquarters, Awka.
Dignitaries at the event include Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Afam Mbanefo, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Lands, Dr. Emenike Ezinandu, and Chairman of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, Dr. David Nzekwu, among others.
