U-17 World Cup: Garba submits list

GOLDEN Eaglets coach, Manu Garba has submitted a 50-man provisional list to the Nigeria Football Federation for the U-17 World Cup in Brazil, Sports Extra reports.
The list, Sports Extra gathered comprises of players from the 2019 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Tanzania, where Nigeria placed fourth.
According to the team’s Media Officer, Francis Achi, the list will be forwarded to FIFA on or before September 26 as stipulated.
“The provisional list has been submitted to the NFF so hopefully it will be forwarded to FIFA before the deadline on September 26,” Achi told Sports Extra.
Meanwhile, the Eaglets were due to fly out yesterday to Turkey for an U-17 World Cup preparatory tournament in Istanbul.
The Eaglets will face host Turkey, Senegal, and Guatemala in Group 1
They are also due to set up a training camp in Sao Paulo, Brazil, prior to the World Cup, which kicks off on October 26.
