Robbers invade monarch’s Palace

ANAMBRA State Police Command is  working round the clock to unravel the mystery behind the robbery incident at the palace of the traditional ruler of Umueje, in Ayamelum Local Government Area, Igwe  Elias Nneli.
The incident, which happened on  August 12, 2019, has left the villagers in astonishment on the dastardly act which is an abomination in Igbo land.
Briefing the press on the development, Igwe Nneli expressed dismay over the incident which is the first of its kind in the community.
According to the royal father, the robbers made away with his big generator, sumo water pumping machine and other items worth thousands of naira.
He announced that the matter had since been reported to the Anaku Divisional Police Station for prompt action.
Igwe Nneli expressed strong feelings that the thieves were local people and vowed to change the leadership of the vigilante in the community whom he reported are not up and doing in their responsibility.
The royal father called on the state central vigilante committee to change the chairman and members of the Umueje Vigilante outfit for  lack of merit and commitment to their duties.
He expressed satisfaction that the Governor Willie Obiano administration in the state has invested a lot in security and expects that in no distant time, the culprits will be apprehended and brought to justice.
