Anambra NUJ holds Media Summit

ANAMBRA State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has commenced  activities for it’s 2019 Media Summit.
Statement  made available to National Light  by Secretary of the council, Emma Udeagha, said that the 2-day event which  will have the  Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Barr. Ifeatu Obi-Okoye as Chairman is scheduled to hold at the Tochukwu Udoji-Omelu Hall of the Godwin Ezeemo International Press Centre, Awka
The event with the theme:” Media, Legislature and National Development t  ”will be declared opened by the governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano while the  Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Uche Okafor will be the guest of honour.
According to the release, there will be paper presentations on Media, Legislature and National Development, Nigeria – Democracy and the National Question, and Nigeria, Separation of Powers & the Rule of Law: Fact or Fiction.
The release added that some persons will be honoured. They  include Public Relations Officer of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Obini Onuchukwu, who will be honoured for his  contributions to socio- economic and political development of Nigeria.
National President, Comrade  Chris Isiguzo, and National Secretary of the NUJ, Leman Shuaibu are among guests expected at the event.
