INTERNATIONAL Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, known by his stage name D’banj, is set to make a debut movie appearance. He will feature in cinema movie titled: “Sugar Rush” in the month of December.
The Koko Master also doubles as the executive producer of the project. Recall that sometime last year; the music star lost his son after drowning in a pool in the family’s Ikoyi residence.
“Sugar Rush” will be a direction by the legendary Jade Osiberu. She is the same one behind the 2017 romance hit, ‘Isoken’. The new project will be a joint production between Greoh Media, Film One and D’Banj’s DKM Media.
Osiberu made this known via her IG page;
“We’re coming for all your coins this Christmas!! Sugar Rush issssa rush! I’ve been working on a slate of films since 2017 and I’m finally glad to be able to announce the first film from the slate. Our plan at Greoh is to continue to collaborate with filmmakers, investors, distributors and anyone passionate about growing the Industry and telling exciting, compelling and authentic stories about Africans. We’re already cooking up 3 films to be shot in 2020, so we can’t wait to end 2019 with a bang!’’
The cast will include, D Banj, OAP Toke Makinwa, Bisola Aiyeola, Omoni Oboli, BBNaija star, Tobi Bakre, comic act, Nkem Owoh, Adedimeji Lateef, Zack Orji and a host of others.
