Anambra recruits over 1000 teachers



IN LINE with its commitment to leaving an enduring legacy on the Anambra State basic education subsector, the state government has recruited over 1000 qualified teachers to enhance functional learning in all basic schools.
A release from Ministry of Basic Education  a breakdown of successful candidates, whose names emerged from the recruitment exercise, shows that 500 teachers were recruited for secondary schools with another 500 designated for primary schools.
It further directed candidates who participated in the recruitment exercise to visit the notice boards of Post-Primary School Service Commission (PPSSC) and Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) all in Awka to check their results, adding that documentation and posting will commence immediately.
It was learnt that successful candidates were mainly drawn from National Certificate in Education (NCE) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree holders or their equivalents.
