IMMEDIATE past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, and his wife have been accused of cornering over 67 vehicles of various descriptions belonging to the state government.
The former governor and his wife made away with the cars at their exit from office.
Chairman of the task force on recovery of government properties in possession of the immediate past government of Imo State, Jasper Ndubuaku, made the allegation yesterday, in Owerri, while briefing newsmen on the activities of his team.
According to Ndubuaku, the task force would use people aggrieved by the poor achievement of the past government to track down the cars and recover them, adding that the job would not be treated with kid gloves.
“We would use the people to recover our property; most of them such as the mechanics have already indicated interest in working with us; by the time we move in with about 6,000 people, they wouldn’t have the choice than to submit them,” Ndubuaku said.
