Ohaneze decries withdrawal of gun license
THE Apex socio-cultural, Ohaneze ndigbo has condemned the recent presidential order, banning ownership of guns in the country, stressing it would generate bleak future in the country.
In a statement made available to National Light, spokesman of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Emeka Attamah said it was sad that the presidential order was not only banning issuance of gun license but withdrawing already issued ones.
“This is ominous. The storm is gathering and will soon bare its fangs. The uninitiated continue to wallow in self-deceit until the vultures savage for the carcasses. The signs are clear”. He noted that the banning has negative consequences on crime fighting.
Meanwhile the spokesman of Ohanaze Ndigbo worldwide, Chuks Ibegbu has asked the federal government to furnish the citizenry the true position of the proposed Fulani Radio Station and why other Nigerian Radio stations cannot meet the same objectives. He cautioned Nigerian officials to stop doing anything that would raise suspicions or divide the nation the more, stressing that a radio station has nothing to do with the killings and kidnapping by herdsmen.
Ibegbu further urged the federal government to open a radio station for pro-Biafra movement, Boko Haram, Shites and other agitators.
