IT WAS a celebration of love, joy fulfilled and glory revealed as Davinson Obioma Mbanefo of the Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation, (ANPC), took his heart-throb, Ngozi to the altar, to solemnise the holy matrimony.
The event, which held at the Cathedral Church of St. Faith, Awka witnessed the convergence of clergy men from different parts of the country such as Rev Onyemaechi Ukwuegbu from Otukpo, Benue State, Rev Ogboru from Mbamili Diocese, friends, colleagues, government officials among others.
In his sermon, Rev Canon James Aruna (Phd), urged the new couple to invite Jesus into their marriage, explaining that the presence of Jesus in a family brings fulfillment and satisfaction while His absence brings quarrel, dissatisfaction and emptiness.
The cleric who reminded them that love is the bedrock of Christian marriage, noted that marriage is God’s appointment where; compassion, humility, tolerance as well as forbearance make it strong. He described love as the spiritual cloth needed to cover both spiritual and physical nakedness, stressing that marriage must be handled with utmost care like an egg.
He charged them to live worthy lives of emulation as ambassadors of Christ and prayed for God’s abundant blessings on the couple.
Speaking to National Light, the groom, Davinson Mbanefo, who is the Special Assistant to Governor Obiano on Agriculture, described the day as a special day, the long awaited and fulfilled day when he took his dearly beloved wife to the altar of God to exchange marital vows.
According to him, “today, is a special day, it is the long awaited moment in my life when I took my heart-throb to the alter to say ‘I do’ for better for worst, to call her my wife, the bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh.
“I have been in several relationships, but at the end, I found Ngozi as a suitable wife for me. In her, I found a woman who has the fear of God, who is trustworthy, a woman who is supportive and one who can build the family with me.
I promise to stay with her till death do us part. I will be with her for better for worst. I will protect her as well as be her companion.
