Fulham vs Man City match preview
MANCHESTER City are hoping to be the first English team to achieve an unprecedented quadruple of trophies this season. The Citizens have already secured the EFL Cup trophy and they’re through to both the final eight stage of the Champions League and the final four of the FA Cup where they are favourites to win both. For this weekend however, attention reverts to the Premier League and looking to overtake Liverpool at the top of the table.
As things stand, Pep Guardiola’s men are one place and one point behind Jurgen Klopp’s side but with a game in hand and they can ill-afford any slip-ups in the run-in here. Thankfully for the Spanish boss, his side don’t look like slipping up in recent weeks and they make the trip to the capital on Saturday on the back of a nine game winning streak in all competitions. Can they pick up three more pivotal points here.
In fact, this should be a very comfortable win for the Citizens. The Blues have racked up 11 goals in their last four Premier League outings and have by far the best attacking record in the country, whilst Fulham have been shipping goals for fun throughout the campaign. City have won their last five meetings with the Cottagers in all competitions by two or more goals, this time we’re backing them on the -2 handicap .
Raheem Sterling has been in fine form in front of goal once again this season, racking up 19 goals for his club so far this term, 15 of which have been in the Premier League. The England forward enjoyed a terrific international break too, scoring four times in his country’s two qualifiers against Montenegro and the Czech Republic. You can back the 24 year old to open the scoring in this game
Prediction: Over 2.5 match goals.
