Five feared dead as cult groups clash in A’Ibom



A REPORT from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State has said that five persons were allegedly killed as two cult groups clashed in Urua Ekpo community during a two – day cult war in the area.
The “war” occurred last Tuesday night and continued till the morning of Wednesday, leaving scores of persons wounded.
Sources, said that the cult clash was between members of the Viking Confraternity and the dreaded Iceland group.
While three persons were allegedly killed on Tuesday, two persons were reportedly killed Wednesday morning.
The cause of the cult rampage could not be ascertained as the state police command when contacted refused to comment on the development but an impeccable source told our crime correspondent that the two groups clash over the issue of girlfriend.
Besides, the number of deaths recorded, people also lost their phones, handbags, jewelries, cash and other valuables in the process of running for their dear lives.
