In Owerri, monarch decries cult killings



TRADITIONAL ruler of Umuoma Community in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze Morrison Eke has called on the Police to intervene and stop the killings that is going on in the community.
The killings is as a result of cult activities in the community, he therefore called on the Imo State police Commissioner to send anti cult unit in the area to stem re-occurrence.
The Monarch regretted that cultists have all this while been killing and maiming indigenes of the community and non indigenes alike without challenge.
The Eze said that only what will save the situation now was Police intervention as these hoodlums have been having free field days unchallenged. He said that the community has not witnessed this type of calamity in Umuoma Community.
Eze Eke charged parents to instill discipline and good morals in their children so that they will not depart from it when they grow. He called on the children who resort to cultism instead of taking their studies seriously.
