Political stalwart advocates for more polling units

A POLITICAL stalwart in Anambra South Senatorial District, Tony Nwosu has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to add four more polling units in the area.
Nwosu who made this appeal after casting his vote at Ubuluisiuzo polling unit ward 3 in Ihiala, in the just concluded presidential and National Assembly election, noted that there is need for INEC to create more polling units with additional card readers in the place to ease the process of voting for forth coming election.
Mr Nwosu who noted that people of the area are more eager to participate in the election than what it used to be urged INEC to provide more polling units for subsequent elections.
In his words,” the population is outrageous which demand for more card readers to enable people vote fast and easy. There are old people and those who have arthritis. They cannot stand for too long just like the younger ones. It would enable them stay at least one to two hours to vote and go.
“If you notice, this year the number of voters is higher. They were up to 500 than what they used to have in the previous years because people have number of interest and had devoted their time to vote. We also have good number of people at the national level and many came for the purpose of casting their votes. So, the number of voters we have this year increases which I know most of these faces did not partake during the governorship election, held in 2017”, he concluded.
