SAMI Khedira has had a successful operation to correct a heart flutter and will be back in a month, Juventus said Wednesday.
The Germany midfielder underwent a “mini-invasive” heart operation for the atrial arrhythmia that was detected Tuesday and which ruled him out of Wednesday’s Champions League last 16 first leg at Atletico Madrid.
The operation was a “complete success”, Juve said.
After a brief convalescence, it said, Khedira “will be able to resume activity and will be back on the field in about a month”.
