MEMBERS of Divine Mission of Satguru Maharaji has described the late Dozie Ikedife as a bold and selfless Igbo leader who fought for the emancipation of Igbo race.
Chief Nwako Obinka, who is the Divine Minister for Refugee, Satguru Maharaji kingdom made the statement when the group paid a condolence visit to Ikedife family recently at Nnewi, Anambra State.
Chief Obinka regretted that Dr Ikedife’s death came at a time his wisdom and wealth of experience both as a leader and as an elder are most needed; adding that he contributed immensely when he was Chairman, Elder’s Council, and President General of Ohaneze ndigbo.
He urged the children to always remember that their father left a big vacuum and try to sustain his legacies.
Some members of the group, Mr Chidiebere Agbai and Obiorah Onuekwe, who also spoke to journalists, attributed that the deceased was a contented, courageous and kind Igbo leader who sustained humanitarian work till his death.
They expressed hope that the family relatives and doctors trained by the elder statesman would find comfort and inspiration in his diligence and generosity of heart of giving his best to humanity.
In a remark, the first son of the deceased, Dozie Ikedife (Jr) thanked the members of the Divine Mission of Satguru Maharaji for maintaining their relationship with Ikedife’s family, adding that some group usually boycott their rapport as soon as the pioneer person departs this earth.
He described his late father as a consummate leader who was steadfast and diligent in all his life endeavours, adding that his death had created a very big vacuum in medical profession and political landscape of South East and Nigeria at large.
