2019: Bill Clinton may meet Buhari, Atiku



AHEAD of next week’s general elections, there are indications that former US president, Bill Clinton may visit Nigeria to l meet with both President Buhari and the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku.
According to the deputy national publicity secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, who reportedly confirmed the visit, a former president of the United States of America (USA), Bill Clinton, is reportedly planning to visit Nigeria ahead of the forthcoming February 16 presidential election.
Nabena was reported to have said that he was aware of the intended visit and that it was not an official visit. “Mr Clinton’s visit is not an official visit, it has no consequence to the party. I am aware that President (Donald) Trump did not even direct him to come and discuss any matter with President Buhari.”
“Maybe he (Clinton) just wants to visit (President) Buhari as a former president as he has no ‘influence’ or anything to do with the government.” The former US president Clinton will reportedly meet with President Muhammadu Buhari who is the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).”
Clinton, according to reports, is expected to arrive in Nigeria a day before the presidential election and would leave Nigeria for the US the same day after the meetings to allow the two political leaders cast their votes.
