Umahi bags Ezinwanne Nnewi title



IGWE Dr Keneth Orizu of Nnewi, Anambra State has been described as a monarch with God’s adorned wisdom and perseverance.
Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, received a befitting chieftaincy honor during the Igwe’s55th  Ofala and 93 years birthday celebration  expressed joy that at 93, Igwe Kenneth Orizu remains  healthy  and responds to both  Anambra State Government’s calls, community activities and more importantly his Sunday church services at St. Thomas Anglican  Church, Nnewi.
The governor and his wife, Deaconess Rachel Umahi came to the ceremonies with almost all his Government House Team and an entertaining Ebonyi cultural dance which added glamour to the event.
Chief Cletus Ibeto was in his entourage which signified the governor’s good relationship with ndi Nnewi and non Ebonyians, hence his title,’ EzinwanneNnewi’.
Others at the colourful festival were the Chairman of Anambra Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Alfred Achebe, Igwe Emma Nnabuife of Isseke,  Igwe S.A.C. Obika of  Ezinifite in Nnewi South Local Governmentm who joined IgweOrizu in all the rounds of the  Ofala dance rhythm .
Speaking at the occasion, IgweOrizu enjoined Nigerians to be their brothers keepers in order to foster more peaceful co-existence among all. The royal father advised politicians to make this year’s general election most successful.
He commended the fantastic wave industrial, commercial and agro-based  ventures that exist in Nnewi, made possible  by illusrious  sons of Nnewi and some non indigenes and  described such gesture as visible answer to the think home philosophy the people of Nnewi saw  immediately after the civil war.
