INTER Milan decided to be tough with their captain Mauro Icardi, guilty of having presented himself late for the first training of the new year, after missing the plane that was supposed to bring him back to Italy from Argentina.
The Nerazzurri club has fined the Argentine striker, letting him know that he has failed to comply with the regulations. According to Sky Italia, the fine will be as hefty as €100K.
In summary, Inter applied the same rules used for the Nainggolan case, when the Belgian midfielder was suspended for the league match against Napoli and sanctioned economically for disciplinary reasons.
In regards to Icardi, it’s become quite the situation as an agreement is yet to be found with Inter over a renewal, which has been in the talks for several months by this stage. Icardi’s agent and wife, Wanda Nara, hasn’t made things better with a few controversial interviews.
