CATHOLIC Bishop of Enugu Diocese has totally condemned and disassociated the diocese from the comment made by the Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev.Fr. Ejike Mbaka.
Recall that at the Ministry’s annual Harvest and Bazaar, last week, Fr Ejike Mbaka referred to the Ex-Governor of Anambra State and PDP Vice President aspirant, Mr Peter Obi as a “stingy man”, saying that Atiku and Peter Obi will fail if they continue in the manner they are going.
Bishop Onaga, who said he and some members of the Diocesan Curia have called Fr Mbaka to order, stressed that the job of a priest is to pray for the good of the nation.
He also advised the priest to stop any form of prophesying about who will win. “The Catholic Church in Nigeria does not endorse any person and the church is not a place for campaign.Every priest should adhere to the instructions of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria”, he said.
